In Traditional East Asian Medicine, the primary acupuncture meridian system associated with the season of autumn and it’s corresponding element of “metal” is the lung. In this class we will talk about what deficiencies of the lung channel look like, and we will experiment with connecting to, and strengthening, the lung channel through meditation.

Learn about the element of “Metal” that Traditional Chinese Medicine associates with the season of Autumn. We will drink some metal tonifying tea, talk about what imbalances in the metal element look like in a person, and will experiment with addressing these imbalances by activating the metal acupuncture meridians and their supporting points through meditation. The class will conclude with a 30-minute meditation sitting. Cushions and chairs will be provided, but please feel free to bring your own if you have a favorite. Both beginners and experienced meditators and practitioners of the internal arts welcome! This will be the first in a series of working seasonally with each of the elements/primary meridians. The next class will focus on the winter “Water” meridian system of the Kidney.
